Sage UK approached us looking to rebuild their Sage Exchange portal for Accountants and Bookkeepers. We built a bespoke news platform with an innovative drag and drop CMS.
Sage Exchange is an accountancy community and publishing platform that provides information, resources and support to accountants in practice and their clients.
Sage UK approached us looking to rebuild their Sage Exchange portal for Accountants and Bookkeepers.
Sage’s team, while experienced at content production and writing, were finding it difficult to publish their content to their web platform, with a lot of the technical grunt work falling on a single person — a single crunch point, that was harming their content workflow.
In addition, the site was looking dated, hadn’t yet been upgraded in line with Sage’s brand guidelines, and had no mobile compatibility.
We proposed an innovative drag-and-drop interface, that allowed content creators to create innovative, interesting layouts; and was easy enough for anyone to use.
We wanted to enable admins to quickly arrange their content on a page and publish it within minutes. This would allow magazine content and landing pages to grow from concept to launch in a short space of time.
In addition to simple text and images, staff can easily drag in dynamic elements such as polls, comments, forms, file downloads, maps, and event booking forms.
The Sage Exchange website includes a full publishing workflow, allowing editors to approve articles to be published on the live website, or send them back to the author with feedback.
The end result is an incredibly sophisticated publishing platform, hidden beneath an elegant interface. One of our guiding principles is simplicity and we think this shines through for both visitors and Sage staff.
