Christmas Stockings

In the hope of putting a smile on the faces of those sleeping rough this winter, myself and the CandidSky team wanted to donate some Christmas Stockings. Last time we ran this little project the stockings were received with intrigue, huge smiles as well as a few tears.

Thanks to donations from colleagues and friends we were able to put together care packages of basic essentials, and also a few treats! (Including Hats, scarfs, gloves, socks, chocolate, deodorant, shower gel, toiletries, underwear and toothbrushes. We even had a donation of some Nike Air Max trainers!).

In total we raised just under £200, which was enough to put together 19 Christmas Stockings which will be distributed by Mad Dogs volunteers on Christmas Eve.

Supporting Rough Sleepers

Earlier this month the MEN reported “The true scale of Greater Manchester’s homelessness crisis” with a reported 3,292 currently homeless in Manchester.

With temperatures dropping, I can only imagine what it feels like to sleeping rough at the moment. Luckily, there is hope. Manchester has a secret army of foot soldiers patrol the streets in all conditions to bring hot food, clothing and water.

Mad Dogs Street Project is just one of a few volunteer organisations who go out in all conditions to support those who need it the most. These guys are the heroes behind this story. Keep up the good work guys!

We are extremely honoured to help this fantastic cause and will continue to do so in the future.

Merry Christmas and happy new year from the CandidSky team!
