CandidSky to play key role in development of new talent in the Greater Manchester area
CandidSky is delighted to have been invited by college CEO Alun Francis to play a key role in the UK’s first Digital Career College, located in Oldham.
From September 2014, as part of our commitment to developing young talent in digital industries and technologies, I am excited to be taking a seat alongside the other founding members of the Digital Career College’s Employer Advisory Board.
As director of a continually forward thinking and expanding company, our expertise and innovative digital strategies having recently been recognised by our RAR and Made in Manchester nominations, I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to guide and support up-and-coming students in the local area, helping to prepare them for an equally successful career in the market. This outstanding programme will give us the chance to pass on some of the expertise and specialist skills that we, as a company, can offer.
This pioneering new programme aims to increase student’s potential for employment through the delivery of an enhanced, practical programme. The pioneer facility within the Oldham College Campus, which includes a state of the art ‘Fab Lab’ fabrication laboratory, a media suite, and visual arts spaces for graphics, games art and digital 3D design, will help to prepare learners, both academically and practically, to work within technically and creatively driven industries.
It is vital that people seeking employment in digital fields are equipped with the right skills, attitudes and knowledge to succeed, so I couldn’t be more pleased to be involved in such an important project.
Passionate about the future of the digital industry, all of us at CandidSky are looking forward to working with the bright, young individuals in this dynamic, ground-breaking programme.
