This evening saw us gear up for the annual CandidSky karting challenge at Daytona race track in Manchester. Unfortunately reigning champion David Beharall couldn’t take part due to injury which left the door wide open for hot favourite Simon Fryer to pitch for the title.
It was a close race with a few eventful moments, notably one in which Graham Hall decided to play rough with the competition and ram the back end of a few cars. Steve Mckinney tried creatively to get to the front end of the pack while Dave Houlbrooke tried desperately to get onto the podium . Tom Lambert won most improved this year and shows great technical ability out on the track.
But the day was won in the end by the favourite Simon Fryer who ran up some great race statistics and searched for gaps in the traffic to get himself to the number 1 spot.
