In the first part of our ‘in the spotlight’ series, we talk to Firas Aldalou about his role as an SEO manager and how he can help your business.
What do you do?
I’m a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) manager. SEO is an incredibly important part of online marketing if you want your website to succeed. It involves the continuous improvement and optimisation of a website to ensure that when search engines review it, they consider it to be in the best possible shape, meaning it will rank higher in search results.
My role involves tasks including:
- Technical SEO website audits to review the current state of a site
- Keyword research and analysis
- Content reviews
- Link acquisition
- Implementation of on-site changes and continuous optimisation
- Presentation of reports showing results against KPIs
How does that help clients’ businesses grow?
When a potential customer runs a search on Google, they are more likely to visit the links that appear at the top of the list of results. Having a consistent SEO strategy, results in our clients’ websites appearing higher in search results for their most important keywords and phrases which means higher exposure, both for their brand and their website. It will also ensure the site is better suited to receive the right traffic i.e. customers who are in the clients’ target audience and who are more likely to convert, which in turn makes our clients’ businesses more profitable.
What do you consider to be the best results you’ve produced at CandidSky so far?
Consistently delivering high quality reports, audits and presentations within the required deadlines has had a positive impact on all of our clients, especially those who require the implementation and creation of a large number of informational content pages, as well as their optimisation.
If you could give a business leader one bit of advice about your discipline what would it be?
Give digital the attention it deserves. Investing in an SEO campaign in a continuous way will always keep a company’s website in the best possible technical state, which will have a direct impact on inbound traffic, and ultimately business conversions, securing a consistent level of performance for years to come.
