Wow. What a year.

If you feel the past 12 months has flown by in the blink of an eye, then you’re definitely not alone.

Sometimes we spend so long chipping away at the rock face that we forget to step back and take a look at the result of all our hard work. With Christmas upon us, now seems like as good a time as any to do just that…

We won big at the Big Chip Awards.

Big Chip is the longest running digital industry awards in the UK, the largest outside of London and known for its notoriously strict judging panel.

Search marketing is our bread and butter, so we were thrilled to pick up this year’s ‘Best Use of Search & CRO’ for our work with HR giants, Peninsula

She’s a beaut, ain’t she…

We created a new digital product from scratch.

Not content to sit on the laurels of our services, we at CandidSky decided to solve one of our in-house challenges by creating a new product called ‘Colony’. Still in its beta version, Colony is a lightning-fast software that allows teams to manage new business easily and effectively. Here’s a screenshot for you…

We grew by 3!

We’ve seen plenty of new clients come on board throughout the year, which also resulted in us welcoming two new SEO Executives, Sam Sheppard and Aadil Seedat, to the search team and baritone horn-playing Ciaran Young as Project Manager. All three chaps have settled in smoothly and already made an impact on our performance as a team.

We drained the Fun Fund.

Whenever there’s a notable achievement in the office, CandidSky put a bit of cash into a collective kitty – known to our team as the ‘Fun Fund’. This money is presided over by our resident Chief of Fun, Jakub, who is in charge of organising social events once we’ve hit a certain level. Recently we’ve been go-karting and clay pigeon shooting and managed not to injure ourselves on both counts!

Our Search Director got nominated for Made In Manchester.

Simon Fryer (pictured right) has been huge driver for the growth of our agency in recent years, expanding the Search Marketing team and forming creative strategies to help our clients thrive in the digital world.

For all his efforts, he has rightly been nominated for ‘Marketing Professional of the Year’ at the 2017 Made In Manchester Awards.

Hats off to you, Si!

We turned 10!

A whole decade on from our humble beginnings and it really is an exciting time to be a digital company in the city of Manchester. The digital community is thriving here and will continue to be a key factor in the growth of our Northern economy for years to come. It’s wonderful to be right in the mix of it all.

It was also an absolute pleasure to celebrate joining the double digits club with our nearest and dearest – in style, of course.
