Facebook New Brand PagesWhat’s new?

Facebook has announced new updates for its brand pages to help businesses and organisations share their stories through the brand Timeline.

The changes allow companies to choose their own cover photo at the top of the page and administrators can access a log that shows them the page activity, including tools that can easily highlight, hide or delete posts and even change the date of the post.

Global brands try out the features

Some brands have already taken advantage of the new updates including Manchester United, Burberry, Dove and The New York Times.

Manchester United’s commercial director Richard Arnold believes the new brand pages are a way for fans to get closer to the football club and are a great way to record memorable moments. He stated fans can look back at events over time with the new Timeline feature.

Brand pages are a wise move

Facebook’s new brand pages are a great way to interact with your customers and share with them what you have been up to. Whether you have recently took part in an event or simply written a new blog you can post it on your Timeline for fans to see.

For all of you that already have a brand page, you have until 30th March to finalise the page design before it goes live for users to see.
